On this fifth day of the General Chapter, the capitulars were free to sleep late, to relax and to visit the Eternal City.

Some took tours organized by other Oblates who are “old Romans” and are familiar with the city. Fr. Ned CAROLAN gave one of his famous tours of St. Peter’s Basilica. Fr. Richard WOLAK accompanied a group to visit the Basilicas of St. Mary Major and St. John Lateran. Fr. Don MC MAHON led a group to the catacombs. And the more adventuresome joined Fr. Andrzej JASTRZEBSKI for a hike into the Apennine mountains near Rome.
