Monday, September 19

After enjoying a rest day yesterday, Sunday, the Capitulars resumed their work this morning.

It began, as always, with prayer followed by the report of the European Region, presented by Fr. Pawel ZAJAC, president of the Region, assisted by Frs. Vincent Grubert, Leo Philomin and Alberto Ruiz. After a pause, the Canada-United States Region was the last to present its report through a video introduced by the president of the Region, Fr. Ken Thorson, who was celebrating his birthday precisely today. Both reports were followed by questions and comments about the Oblate reality in Europe and Canada-United States. The morning ended with a time of silent prayer in the main chapel.

In the afternoon, Frs. Jean-Hérick Jasmin and Daniel Leblanc presented the work of the General Service for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation. Afterwards, Bro. Harley Mapes explained the work of the General Commission of Oblate Brothers, emphasizing the importance of the vocation of the Brothers in the Congregation. Also then, questions and impressions of the Capitulars arose from these reports. After the Eucharist and dinner, Fr. Fabio Ciardi spoke about the General Service for Oblate Studies.
