South Africa: On Saturday, May 11, 2024, a truly special event unfolded for the faithful of Eshowe and the pilgrims visiting Ngome: the blessing and unveiling of the new statue of Our Lady, Tabernacle of the Most High. This event, filled with reverence and joy, marked a beautiful renewal of devotion to our Blessed Mother.

Pilgrims traveled from near and far, eager to be part of this sacred moment and to receive the blessings it promised. Among those present were His Eminence Wilfred Cardinal NAPIER, OFM, Apostolic Administrator of Eshowe Diocese, and Bishop Vusumuzi MAZIBUKO, OMI., Apostolic Administrator of Ingwavuma Vicariate, along with representatives from various religious communities.

In his welcoming speech, His Eminence warmly thanked the religious communities serving at the Shrine, including the Benedictine Sisters, the Franciscan Sisters, and the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. This was followed by the celebration of the Sacraments of Penance and Anointing of the Sick by the priests present.

Pilgrims then approached the statue, offering their prayers and petitions to Our Lady. Some knelt in silent prayer, finding strength and solace in her maternal embrace.
