During the General Audience on Wednesday, October 29, the Superior General of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, Fr. Luis Ignacio ROIS ALONSO, OMI, had the joy of meeting His Holiness Pope Leo XIV.
He shared with the Holy Father about the Jubilee of our Constitutions and Rules and presented the Oblate Cross of St. Eugene de Mazenod, blessed by Pope Leo XII in 1826. The Holy Father blessed and venerated the cross of our Holy Founder.
This brief but meaningful encounter was also an opportunity to request a special audience and a message from the Pope for February 17, 2026, when we will commemorate the upcoming bicentennial of the pontifical approval of our constitutions and rules. Let us pray that this grace may be granted.
