The theme for today’s morning prayer was, “Communion”. The prayer was led by the Province of Mexico and the Missions of Guatemala and Cuba.

Day 4 – Thursday, August 24
Today was a day of pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Echoes of the WYD: “Encounter, witness, and fear not!”
The questions, addressed by the Superior General, Fr. Chicho to the young people, were the common thread of the days lived first in Pozuelo, as a Mediterranean Province, then in Lisbon as a global Oblate Family.

The theme of the Morning Prayer today was “Pilgrims with the heart of Eugene.” The Brazil and Baja California delegates led the prayer.
Zambia: Young Oblates respond to the call of the General Chapter
The Oblate Delegation of Zambia is currently hosting a meeting of the Young Oblates of Mary Immaculate (Y.O.M.I) from the five anglophone countries of the subregion of Africa-Madagascar: Lesotho, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Zambia.

Mexico: Joint Session with Latin America and the Caribbean
From August 21-29, 2023, the Province of Mexico will host the joint session of the General Government with the Oblate Superiors of Latin America and the Caribbean. This comes at an important time in the history of the Province, as the Oblates look back with gratitude on 80 years of continuous presence on Mexican soil.
