Turin, College of Nobles.

In September of 1791, Eugene de Mazenod, in Turin, entered the College of Nobles which king Victor-Amadeus III had just entrusted to the Barnabites. He remained there until the month of May 1794 under the rectorship of Father Leopoldo Scati. That is where Eugene made his First Holy Communion on Holy Thursday, April 5, 1792 and where Dr. Pinchinati, during the course of a painful operation, remove a wen which had developed in the corner of his left eye. Eugene was confirmed by Cardinal Costa d’Arignano on Trinity Sunday of 1792.
