205th Anniversary of the First Vows of November 1, 1818
For some years now, the General Committee of Oblate Brothers is responsible for organising the animation for commemorating the anniversary of the First Vows of November 1st, 1818. For this they propose 24 hours of adoration at the School of the Saviour for the whole Mazenodian family from October 31 at noon to November 1 at noon.
204th Anniversary since the First Oblation in the Congregation
For several years, the General Committee of Oblate Brothers has been responsible for the animation of the anniversary of the 1st vows. The Oblate Brothers who participated in the General Chapter, worked on the reflection for this November 1st.

An update from the General Formation Committee
General Formation Committee meeting from March 1 to March 5, 2021 was held via zoom, due to various COVID restrictions.
Year of St. Joseph
Pope Pius IX proclaimed Saint Joseph, patron of the Universal Church and 150 years later, Pope Francis proposes a jubilee year in his honor.
9th mediation: Witness
We are a people who follow God and bear witness – who want to bear witness to Jesus Christ.

It is the whole community that accomplishes the ministry through the various services of its members.
7th meditation: The Vow of Poverty
In this year of the 200th anniversary of the vow of poverty, we suggest that we take the opportunity, on the level of the whole Congregation, to reflect on this vow.

We invite you to take time of prayer for Oblate vocations, for Oblates in first formation and their formators, to reflect on our witness, as those who call.
4th meditation: Vows of Reciprocal Obedience
The Founder truly counted on Father Tempier: “I assure you that I consider it very important for the work of God that you be among us.
3rd meditation: The Unexpected Call, The Generous Response.
“By the grace of God, I feel this desire within me; or if I do not have it, I greatly desire to have it. And with you, everything will become even easier. So, count entirely on me…”
