Rome: “Via Aurelia Pilgrims” gather at the General house of the Missionaries of Africa to celebrate the Season of Creation
As annually, from September 1st to October 4th, the religious communities of Via Aurelia, commonly referred to as “Via Aurelia Pilgrims,” united once again in the spirit of “Journeying together,” on Saturday, September 9th, to commemorate a day of prayer for the Earth within the framework of the “Season of Creation.”
This time, it was the Community of the Missionaries of Africa who organized this prayer meeting, which was attended by all the communities of the General House of the Oblates, including the Central Government, the IRS Scholasticate, the General Services, and the Student Fathers.
Furthermore, neighbouring communities from several parts of Rome attended the prayer service, as well as members of Vivat and secretaries of UISG-JPIC of Rome.
The theme that guided our reflection was: “Let Justice and Peace Flow like a Mighty River”. During this prayer, we all raised to the Lord of Creation prayers to help raise awareness and Care of our Common Home, Mother Earth.
