From Aix-en-Provence, the Superior General, Fr. Chicho, sends a message of gratitude to the entire charismatic family after his fruitful pilgrimage to the Province of Notre-Dame-Du-Cap.

A pilgrim´s heart is always filled with gratitude because everything is a gift from God. The pilgrim knows that he never truly travels alone.  The journey is a constant series of encounters.

“As my visit to the Province of Notre Dame-du-Cap draws to a close, I am humbled and thankful to all those who organized and participated in this memorable occasion. I want to give a special thanks to the Provincial Jacques LALIBERTÉ who went above and beyond by driving me over 3,000 kilometers.

My time with the Innu communities, the parishes we serve, our historic homes for aging or ill Oblate missionaries, the Saint-Paul University community celebrating 175 years of existence with a symposium, and meeting with all the Oblate missionaries and lay people has at every moment reaffirmed that shared Charism that unites us. I am also grateful to the Oblate missionaries from our three provinces in the Ottawa region of Canada who joined with their three Provincials for a fraternal gathering that filled me with hope.

Now, as a Pilgrim of Hope in Communion, I eagerly make my way to Aix for the final stage of the Mazenod Experience in English. And this month, we have the joy of welcoming 18 new Major Superiors in Rome, which will further strengthen our familial ties and inspire us in our mission to serve the poorest of the poor.

To the entire Charismatic family, I am truly appreciative of your prayers and support. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey.”
