On Monday, November 20, 2023, the Major Superiors reconvened after a brief sabbath recess to resume their work.

The day commenced with an address by Fr. Thomas BANG, the delegate for the Protection of Minors and Vulnerable Adults in the Congregation. In his presentation, Fr. Bang outlined his plans for the implementation of the Chapter Mandates concerning the protection of minors and vulnerable adults, emphasizing the congregation’s commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment.

Following this important discussion, the session transitioned into a 3-day leadership workshop facilitated by Br. Joseph McKee, F.M.S. The workshop, titled “Called to Spirit-Filled, Mission-Inspired Leadership in an Emerging World,” aims to guide major superiors in cultivating effective leadership skills in the ever-evolving landscape of the Church and society. Br. McKee, a respected Scottish Marist Brother and former Vicar General of his Congregation, brings a wealth of experience to the workshop. His previous facilitation of similar sessions has been well-received, earning appreciation for his insightful guidance.
