Antonio ORTIZ, OMI

On January 29, 2024, the Central Government gathered with the Oblate Studium, a community of seven Oblates currently studying at various Pontifical Universities in Rome.

Despite the students being amid final exams, they welcomed the Central Government’s initiative for a brief informal check-in. Each member shared insights into their studies and experiences living in the General House and Rome. Father General, expressing gratitude and encouragement, emphasized that pursuing higher studies is a commitment aligned with the congregation’s mission and, ultimately, in service to the poor.  The Central Government urged each Oblate to make the most of this opportunity for personal development and a deeper understanding of the Church and the Congregation.

The Oblate Studium extends heartfelt thanks to the Central Government for carving out time during this Plenary Session for a moment of fraternity and encouragement. As Studium members navigate final exams and thesis writing, this brief exchange propels them in their scholarly pursuits with a sense of mission, service, and love for the congregation. Your continued prayers for the Oblate Studium members, preparing to serve the congregation’s needs, and for the Central Government as they enter their third week of Plenary Sessions are deeply appreciated.
