Congratulations Fr. Superior

This morning, we witnessed the continuation of Oblate legacy as Fr. Zweli installed Fr. Shoba as the scholasticate superior.

Archbishop Mandla Jwara, CMM of the Archdiocese of Durban presided over the Eucharistic celebration, alongside Fr. Jim Brobst, Fr. Zweli, Bishops Vusi and Niel and many Oblate fathers and brothers.

In his homily, Fr, Jim Brobst encouraged us to bring to life the heart of Eugene in today’s world even though the contexts may be different.

Archbishop Jwara, CMM encouraged the new superior to remain steadfast and prayerful.

Let us continue praying for Fr. Shoba that as he leads us, he may do so under their guidance of the Holy Spirit. Let us also pray for the entire scholasticate community that we may witness and preach Christ crucified daily.
