The Superior General and members of the Central Government met with the four formators of the International Roman Scholasticate (IRS).
Founded in 1881, the IRS celebrates its 142nd year of service to the Congregation and the Church. The IRS aims to cultivate unity between the various units of the Congregation. It serves as a privileged space for developing a strong sense of belonging to the universal Church and embracing the internationality of the Congregation.
In this 2023-24 formation year, the IRS is enriched with four formators from different regions. Currently, the IRS has 17 formandi: Sri Lanka (4), Pakistan (2), Indonesia (1), Cameroon (1), Nigeria (1), Namibia (1), USA (1), Haiti (1), France (1), Ukraine (1), Poland (1), and Congo(2). Together with the formators, the IRS represents 15 countries. This diversity reflects the global reach of the Congregation and underlines the IRS’s central role in promoting intercultural dialogue and collaboration.
