The second day of Ongoing Formation saw the Oblates tour all the ministries here in Brisbane.

We began the morning with mass and a whole school assembly at Iona Brisbane. We had the privilege to hear from the school captains, the principal and school executive, as well as from the CEO of Rosies – Friends On The Street outreach.

Following lunch we visited the nearby parish of Cannon Hill Catholic Parish and were warmly welcomed by parishioners who shared many exciting things happening in their parish.

We then continued on to Burpengary, where we visited the parish of St Eugene de Mazenod Parish, Burpengary and heard of the missionary history in that area. We met the staff of St Eugene College, Burpengary and shared a lovely afternoon tea with them.

Our final stop was Nudgee cemetery to visit the graves of the Oblates buried there and to pay our respects to the brothers who laid the foundations of these missions.
