During this time of transition, the Superior General of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, Fr. Luis Ignacio ROIS ALONSO, OMI, and his Council, expresses the Congregation’s profound gratitude to Fr. Marek JAZGIER, our outgoing Secretary General, and Fr. Marc DESSUREAULT, our outgoing Treasurer General.
For over a decade, these brother Oblates have sacrificed a part of their lives as religious to serve the needs of the Congregation, leaving an indelible mark on our Mazenodian charismatic family. With selfless generosity of their time and talents, Fr. Marek and Fr. Marc have shown their love for the charism, mission, and especially their brother Oblates. They have been instrumental in supporting the Congregation in shaping our path and guiding us through significant milestones.
As Secretary General, Fr. Marek’s deep spirituality, coupled with a wealth of experience and wisdom, promoted communication, unity, and understanding within our community. His presence made a significant impact and greatly contributed to the advancement of our Mission.
As Treasurer General, Fr. Marc displayed a relentless dedication to our financial stability and responsible stewardship. Through diligent oversight, he has ensured that our resources are effectively directed toward our mission of serving the poor and the most abandoned.
With their departure, we say goodbye to an era but welcome a new chapter for the Congregation and the entire Mazenodian charismatic family. They leave a legacy of service, compassion, and dedication, for which we are deeply grateful.
May God continue to bless them in their future missions. Thank you!
Luis Ignacio ROIS ALONSO, OMI
