The General Committee of Oblate Brothers has begun their meetings at the General House in Rome until December 8th.

On December 4th, before his trip to Lesotho, The Superior General presided over the opening Mass and met with the committee to provide them with guidance following the General Chapter. The main focus of this meeting is to work on the mandates and recommendations outlined by the General Chapter (see PHC C. Oblate Brothers).

The second point of this meeting is to listen:
– To understand the experiences of the Oblate Brothers in their respective regions: the five regional delegates will share updates on what is happening in their regions.
– To listen to the voices of the poor: the committee will visit the Jesuit Refugee Service in Rome. These refugees have been forced to leave their countries and have a message of hope to share with us.

It is a comprehensive agenda that will lead the committee to define their work plan for the coming years.
