National Oblate Youth Encounter 2024 was a smashing success with 75 participants from 8 different Oblate communities around Australia gathering together for a four 4-day experience at Mazenod College, Mulgrave.
The National Oblate Youth Meeting
The National Oblate Youth Meeting is an annual event that unites young people from across Australia who wish to share their Catholic faith and the charism of St. Eugene de Mazenod. This year’s meeting is underway in Mulgrave, Victoria, Australia, under the theme, “You are the light of the World.”
Since its inception in 2000, this gathering has provided a platform for young Australians to deepen their relationship with God, build lasting friendships, and catch up with old friends. The annual meeting is a blend of prayer, workshops, open forums, liturgy, and community-building activities.

The National Oblate Youth Meeting is more than a mere annual event; it’s an immersive experience that nurtures personal and communal growth, offering participants a unique amalgamation of spiritual sustenance, intellectual enrichment, and a profound sense of community. As we come together in Mulgrave this year, the lively spirit of community, faith, and love for the Oblate Charism set the stage for a transformative and uplifting journey for all those in attendance. And that’s the essence of the National Oblate Youth Meeting.
