The Delegation of Vietnam’s Oblate Youth concluded the year with a gathering on January 21, 2024, at Mazenod Scholasticate in Lai Thieu, Vietnam.
The event was attended by 6 Oblate priests, 16 Oblate scholastics, and a group of 170 young people from various parts of the delegation. Together, they displayed the Oblate Charism’s spirit of diversity and unity.
Father Fx Minh HIEU, the head of the Oblate Youth for the Delegation of Vietnam, set the tone by actively engaging with the youth, offering insights into exciting prospects on the horizon. The festivities began with a cook-off and included a special Eucharistic Celebration of thanksgiving presided over by Father Philippe, the Superior of the Scholasticate. This special Eucharist was to give thanks for the past year and celebrate the New Year.

After Mass, a youth representative expressed gratitude to the Congregation and extended best wishes to the fathers and brothers of the Delegation. Representatives of the Congregation conveyed spring blessings and distributed “lucky money” envelopes to the young participants. The event concluded with a party, resonating with a spirit of solidarity and love, creating lasting memories for all involved.
