History of the Cause

His Cause of beatification on the diocesan level took place between August 15, 1951, and August 25, 1952. The nihil obstat from the Holy See was granted in 1953. The cause was introduced in Rome in 1979. The validity of the diocesan inquiry was approved in 1986. The Positio super virtutibus was handed to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints on April 28, 2001.
