Today’s morning was devoted to further improving the second draft of the Chapter Document presented by the Drafting Committee. For this the capitulants met in linguistic groups.
In the afternoon, in plenary Assembly, the contributions of the groups that had met in the morning were presented. Then came the final vote on the mandates and recommendations of the Chapter, which was a marathon with no less than 20 proposals to vote on..
The session ended with a “surprise video” prepared by the Oblate Communications Service thanking the outgoing General Administration for its work and dedication over the past 6 years.
This was followed in the chapel by a prayer service symbolising the passing from one General Administration to another. Dinner was followed by a briefing on the realities in Sri Lanka and Haiti prepared by Frs Eugene BENEDICT, Roshan SILVA and Ellince MARTYR.
