Grecian REMOSHAN, OMI

The Jaffna Teaching Hospital and Chavakachcheri Base Hospital were filled with the uplifting spirit of Christmas as the Oblate hospital Chaplaincy, led by Grecian REMOSHAN, organized a heartwarming ‘Carols around the Wards’ event.

I am Fr. Grecian REMOSHAN, OMI, the hospital Chaplain of Jaffna Teaching Hospital. I’m delighted to share the joyous moments we experienced on December 14th, 15th, and 16th during our heartwarming Carol Service at both Jaffna Teaching Hospital and the Chavakachcheri Base Hospital.

Our ‘Carols around the Wards’ event, organized as part of our Oblate Mission, filled the corridors with the harmonious tunes of dedicated healthcare professionals and Scholastic brothers. Their beautiful singing created a comforting atmosphere, resonating through the wards and uplifting spirits.

As a special part of the festivities, patients were thrilled to receive Christmas greetings and gifts. These gifts were generously provided by the students of 80 schools in our town. It was truly heartwarming to see children of all faiths – Hindus, Muslims, and Christians – enthusiastically participating in this act of giving and sharing.

The genuine warmth and generosity displayed by these kids were truly encouraging. It showcased the beauty of unity and harmony among different faiths, proving that the holiday season is indeed a time for shared joy and goodwill.

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas season filled with love, laughter, and the spirit of sharing!
